Shabba Ranks To Touch Japan Soil After 2 Decades
Mighty Crown and Irish and Chin have joined forces to bring Shabba Ranks to the shores of Japan for the start time in ii decades
Ranks will return to Japan in Baronial 2011 for Mighty Crown'southward 20th Ceremony edition of Yokohama Reggae SAI, their annual stadium prove that attracts tens of thousands of patrons.
"We have been listening to Shabba Ranks songs for years – Shabba is past all means an icon and a very important artiste to sound systems and selectors," says Masta Simon, co-founder of Mighty Crown in a release. "We have been playing for 20 years and Shabba is an artiste that we played from day 1 and he is still going strong today. We had to have him on our prove!"
Shabba Ranks take a huge following in Japan after spending a pregnant function of his career in the 1980s and early 90s in that location. Ranks stepping back on Japanese soil is significant for Mighty Crown, who is likewise celebrating its 20th anniversary this year.
